De Vroede will soon launch a brand new standard of envelopes. The Zen Laserline collection will be made of FSC certificated paper, suited for all digital copy and printing devices.
environmental pioneers
De Vroede has installed over 12,000 solar panels on the roof of our new Head Office building. The efforts that De Vroede has made demonstrate that even small companies can become environmental pioneers. The solar power that is generated is used to provide green energy to supply power to the entire company. In addition, De Vroede can also supply any excess power back to the National Grid, thus making a positive green contribution.
The excess power generated can supply approximately 60 families with their power needs. More importantly this means a reduction of 150,000kwh of CO2 which would otherwise be produced.
We have made our printing as “green” as possible by using solvent free inks. We have introduced a range of envelopes made from 100% recycled paper which are competitively priced compared to our standard envelope ranges.

environmental policy
De Vroede takes it’s responsibility towards the environment very seriously. The company has made a significant investment in an ecological temperature control system for our Head Office building. The temperature is maintained at a constant level by using water pumped up from 50m below the Earth’s surface. With a constant temperature of 22C, this water is sent through a heat exchange and then stored in a vast underground tank.
The energy created from this system allows us to circulate temperature controlled air, providing heating in the Winter and air conditioning in the Summer. This is a very cost effective way of heating and cooling our building and means that we are using energy from green sources. This has been a major factor in reducing our carbon footprint.
zen
We have our own range of recycled envelopes at De Vroede. The Zen range is 100% recycled. Customers who choose this range are making a positive contribution towards the environment, and so are De Vroede!
water cleansing system
De Vroede has installed a water cleansing station on site at our Head Office. Active bacteria are used to destroy impurities using a biological cleansing process. The water is then suitable for re-use.
De Vroede use only solvent free inks. Not only are these inks better for the environment, but they also dry faster resulting in an improved print quality. Lower ink usage and faster set up times from these new inks mean that De Vroede can offer very competitive prices.
